Appearance:
One of the female Exorcists of the Black Order, Lenalee Lee is a teenage girl of Chinese heritage. She stands an average height for most girls her age (5'4") and has a slender form (105 lbs.) that is flexible to the point of being acrobatic in battle. Her hair is short and slightly wavy. The strands of it may look black from a distance, but up close one can seen a dark green sheen to them. Her amethyst eyes shine with both intelligence and kindness.
Her brother's robot Komurin II would tell you that she's -not- macho.
Personality:
One part sugar, one part spice. Lenalee is normally a sweet, cheerful, and courageous girl, which are ironic traits for someone whose past is actually quite tragic. She doesn't hesitate when it comes to helping others and will risk her life if someone that she cares about is in danger. She possesses a strong sense of loyalty to her friends and older brother Komui. She's not afraid of being hurt physically, as she's of the opinion that injuries will heal as long as one is alive.
However Lenalee's no pushover. More than once her fellow exorcist Yu Kanda has felt her clipboard crashing down onto her head and though she loves her brother, she doesn't tolerate his nonsense either. Nothing hurts or angers her like someone she cares about foolishly rushing into danger or thinking that they have to take on challenges alone. She's not a drama queen, but she does have the full range of emotions of a girl her age and sometimes it's hard to tell if she's forgiven someone who's hurt or angered her.
Lenalee is an intelligent girl which leads her to be highly perceptive. She often knows what's troubling her friends and worries about them. She also has ways of making it hard to say no to her.
Abilities:
As someone compatible with the strange material known as Innocence, Lenalee can manifest her own weapon used primarily to fight the Earl and defeat Akuma. Her weapon, Dark Boots, started out as an external equipment type but now seem to be a parasitic type. Once she gives the command that activates her Innocence, these boots give Lenalee a great deal of speed and strength in her legs. She is also extremely acrobatic in her fighting style and it was once commented that she can flutter in the sky like a butterfly -- and hit the ground with a force stronger than steel.
However, since arriving in Manhattan from her world, her boots have been a no-show.
Weaknesses:
Friendship and loyalty are often strengths, but they can be weaknesses for Lenalee as well. If they hurt, she hurts. She has even commented that her friends and family are her world, and if something should happen to one of them, a part of her world dies. Their vulnerabilities therefore become Lenalee's vulnerabilities. Physically, she sometimes also feels vulnerability and weakness in her legs without her boots. It would not be impossible for her legs to give out or even become immobile during emotional situations.
Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider
History:
Both of Lenalee's parents were killed by an akuma when she was very young. As if this weren't tragic enough, the Black Order took her away from her only remaining family member, her big brother Komui. There reason was that she was an Accommodator gifted by God with the ability to use a divine substance known as Innocence. Innocence could be used to create weapons to fight the akuma and their creator, the Earl of Millennium who planned to lead the world to its death. For three years it was a literal prison to her. Ultimately she had to be tied down to keep her from escaping or doing herself harm. Her salvation came with the arrival of Komui, who'd worked hard to become the Order's Science Department Head Officer so that they could be reunited again. After that Lenalee became an exorcist, the Order gradually became her home, and the people within it her family.
By activating her Innocence, Lenalee became the wielder of the Dark Boots, an anti-akuma weapon which gives her great strength and speed in her legs while out on missions. With them she could flutter in the sky like a butterfly -- and hit the ground with a force stronger than steel. But during a battle with a powerful akuma, Lenalee had to use her push them to their limit and almost died as a result. She lost her long ponytails, but worse, she lost her boots as well. For a while she lost much of the mobility in her legs, but it returned after the removal of her Innocence.
During a later battle, Lenalee wanted to synchronize with her Innocence again in order to protect those she cared about from a level 4 akuma. Though very dangerous, a new pair of Dark Boots formed as a result, now a parasitic-type weapon instead of the former equipment type. They were stronger and easier to control with her emotions.
But that was before Manhattan...
